Chun Li's multi-kicker and Kiryu's Training are just two examples of well-implemented abilities that help the characters jump right out of the game and onto the cards, especially alongside their gorgeous art
Whereas most of the more exciting land cards in Magic: The Gathering have some cost associated with them, whether it's coming into play tapped, paying life, or only producing colourless mana, your typical snow land is virtually indistinguishable from any other basic land card
Tera Pokemon also cant be hurt while on the Bench (which is to say, in play but not the currently Active Pokemon) and will often have a powerful ability in the Charizard exs case, you can search your deck for up to three Fire Energy cards and then immediately attach them to any of your Pokemon, in any way you like
[P][C][C] Spooky Shot: 30 damage
Corkscrew Dive only needs one energy and does 100 damage, and as a secondary effect, lets you draw cards until you have six in your hand
There's also no way to play with them once they're finished, so they're very much a collector's piece
