Now, a Surgical Extraction that exiles Past in Flames can put a huge damper on the U/R Gifts Storm plan, so relying highly on the graveyard is a downside that Puresteel Paladin doesnt have, but the consistency offered with the cantrips as well as the power of Gifts Ungiven makes this my Storm deck of choice

In a slower format of midrange mirrors, this card could be quite powerful, but six mana is certainly too slow for Standard, and Primal Odin doesnt make a big enough splash in slower matchups
