While it doesnt impact the board immediately, the amount of mana you spend on it to cast and it and activate the ability is often available, and once it transforms it gives you a huge mana boost and/or a bunch of cards Filter lands have been performing better, of late, at least in sets with multicolor themes, and while this set one doesnt have a strong one of those, the fact this has a useful sub type and can be used to put some counters on stuff, while also setting up Descend, probably means its decent enough Even though this set has some prominent creature types, having a land that can only produce mana of any color for creatures with those types just isnt good enough
