It's a beautiful sort of etching that makes each image look like a hand-drawn masterpiece
Then, when the next chapter comes, you get to pick a legendary creature from your graveyard and return it to the battlefield, giving it one of three counters to make them stronger
Having a release valve for powerful cards in older formats that try to lock you out of the game is extremely useful
But regardless of the Ring's fate, fans are clinging to hope that Wizards doesn't continue in the same direction with more premium products and vanishingly rare collectors' items.
Purely from a design perspective I am really pleased to see the direction they are going in
