We saw a slight rise in demand for this card late last year after Modern Horizons 3 came out - presumably because it was a good way to get some value out of the MTG commander Disa the Restless, with her goyf graveyard shenanigans
It gives us an early turn play that can be used later as protection for our board, and it also flies, giving us a great target to put counters on
Racing is the name of the game here
Upon death, it destroys a non-land permanent and returns a permanent from the graveyard to the battlefield
you dont get the saga value, but forcing your opponents to put all their creatures in front of a creature with deathtouch and first strike cleans up opposing boards quite well
That said, Wizards has done away with having specific days for bans, and now bans cards any time they see fit
