Plague Reaver is comparably good as the standalone Reanimator threat and discard outlet, and while it is kind of garbage in an aggressive deck, I could see it playing well in a controlling one

Instant card draw in either Boros color is pretty hard to come by, even if its only one net card for four mana

This is definitely the one bug many of us would love to see squashed

I see control decks making heavy use of Linvala before shes done in Standard

however, area of effect (AOE) abilities can still affect them

I would have to have an aggressive deck using a lot of effects that enhance creatures, or perhaps require raid triggers or crewing before digging this out these days
