Drypoint prints are created by drawing & scratching with a pointed metal implement, on a metal plate, so that the ink remains in the crevices, allowing the untouched area to be wiped clean by a smooth cloth. The plate is then put face down on damped paper, and run through a press under considerable pressure, making an indent
