It also blooms a week or so later than most seed grown plants. Bottle brush buckeye is a spectacular native shrub with a magnificent mid summer floral display. This broad, mounding shrub spreads by stolons to colonize a large area. Leaves are composed of several 3 8'' long leaflets which turn a rich butter yellow in the fall.
